Its a hot (i.e., molten) metal car that was used to transfer molten pig iron from one processing facility to another, for example from a from blast to oxygen furnaces. These cars are also called bottle or torpedo cars. Enjoy your posts immensely. Thanks. I will make the change, thanks!!
